Career Expo 2017 encouraged young people to explore high-demand careers in public service

Thanks to all the volunteers and participating 33 metro high schools that made Career Expo 2017 a huge success! Approximately 1,000 high school students attended the expo at Bartle Hall Expo Center in Kansas City, Missouri to learn about promising career paths in public service.

Local governments connected with their future workforce

The event connected employers to their future workforce and featured more than 50 exhibitors from local government, including police, fire, health, human services, administration, parks and recreation, public works and water services. Representatives from several colleges were also on hand to answer students' questions about educational pathways to public service jobs. Over 400 local government professional volunteered their time to be part of the Career Expo.
